Making Sounds with electric car parts

Zeitguised, Polestar & Moritz simon geist

In this collaborative installation, sound artist and robotics engineer Moritz Simon Geist transforms the Polestar 2 electric car into a musical instrument. Using robots and electromagnetic field recorders, Geist captures sonic textures from electric car parts — components engineered to be nearly silent.

While the car becomes a source of rhythm and resonance, ZEITGUISED's Henriksson reimagines it visually within a virtual set environment. Shot at Hyperbowl (Munich), vibrant real-time visuals powered by Unreal Engine envelop the scene in light and movement — where virtual and physical merge.

Together, the project explores the material frequencies of electric mobility, sound design, and immersive image-making.
A meditation on motion, silence, and the new aesthetics of the synthetic.
